How do I create a Deep link with Cut0?

A Deep link is a feature that directs users opening a link from a mobile device not just to a website, but straight to a specific screen or section within a mobile application.

In Cut0, Deep links are configured based on an already created short URL. Once the short link is generated, you can define which in-app destination it should open.

Deep linking applies exclusively to users accessing the link from mobile devices. Anyone opening the same link from a desktop will be redirected to the original long URL specified in the Basic Settings of the short link.

  1. Deep links can be configured either when creating a new short link or when editing an existing one:
  • To add a new link, first click Create a new link on the Home screen or in the Links section. Enter the destination URL, select the domain and slug, set up the expiration date and link title. Then, select Deep Link under the Customization options.
  • To modify an existing short URL, go to the Links section and click the Edit icon next to the desired link under the Actions menu.
  1. In the Deep Link tab within the Edit link window, specify the following:
  • Deep Link URL – the address that opens a specific screen or section inside the mobile application.
  • Fallback URL (Mobile Only) – the destination users are redirected to if they open the link on a mobile device where the app is not installed.
  1. Click Save to apply the changes.

The system will validate the provided URLs. If everything is correct, the short link will open the designated in-app screen or section. If the application is not installed on the user’s device, they will be redirected to the specified fallback address instead.

All configured Deep links appear in the main short URL list under the Links section and are marked with On in the Deep Link column.
