Cut0 allows anyone to quickly report suspicious links or potential violations of the service terms of use. Submitting a report does not require registration and can be done directly through the website.
The reporting form asks for key details about the link and the nature of the issue. It includes several required fields needed to process the request, along with optional sections where additional information can be provided if necessary.
To report a suspicious link:
- Open https://cut0.com/ .
- Scroll all the way down and select Report abuse under Resources – the link to the page is placed in the website footer and is accessible from any page:
- In the opened form, fill in the following fields:
- Email – the email address where any follow-up questions or responses regarding the submitted report can be sent.
- Short URL (Domain) – the domain of the shortened link being reported. This is used to identify the link within the service.
- Short URL (Path) – the unique path of the shortened link provided along with the domain to precisely identify the object of the report.
- Category of abuse – the category of the report which helps to specify the type of issue and speeds up proper handling. Available options:
- Phishing – links that attempt to trick people into revealing sensitive information such as passwords, login details, or financial data by pretending to be a trusted service.
- Malware or harmful software – links that distribute malware, viruses, spyware, or other software designed to damage devices, steal data, or compromise security.
- Scam or fraud – links used for fraudulent schemes such as fake giveaways, investment scams, or deceptive offers intended to obtain money or personal information.
- Spam – links sent repeatedly or in bulk that promote unwanted, misleading, or irrelevant content.
- Illegal content – links that lead to content that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Adult or NSFW content – links that lead to explicit sexual or adult material that may not be appropriate for general audiences.
- Copyright infringement (DMCA) – links that distribute or provide access to copyrighted material without permission from the copyright owner.
- Hate, violence, or extremism – links that promote hate speech, harassment, violence, or extremist content targeting individuals or groups.
- Impersonation – links used to impersonate a person, organization, or brand in order to mislead others.
- Other / suspicious activity – links that appear suspicious or potentially harmful but do not clearly fall into the categories listed above.
- Additional details – an optional field for extra information that may help in reviewing the report, such as a description of the situation or context (maximum 500 characters).
- Confirm your agreement with the Terms of Service, Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy by checking the corresponding box.
- Click Submit.
After submitting the report, a confirmation screen is displayed.
Once a report is received, the link is sent for review to the support team and, if necessary, to the development team. If the link is found to be malicious, its redirect is blocked. The support team may notify the reporter of the outcome, if needed.
